- If you want to install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr over your entire hard drive, select Erase disk and install Ubuntu, then select the hard drive that you want to install Ubuntu. Warning: this will erase all data and systems that are currently on the disk.
- If you want to manually setup your partitioning scheme, you can select the Something else option. Read here for further advice on the DiskSpace page.
Click Install now. From this point, the installation cannot be cancelled. Few additional parameters need to be setup. And then The Where are you? window will appears.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Installation
- Download Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr iso
- Create USB Bootable disk or burning to DVD
- Insert the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr disk into your DVD drive. (or connect with your liveUSB Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr)
- Make sure that your BIOS (boot order) is set to boot from a DVD/USB before a hard drive.
- Start or restart your PC.
- Choose the Try Ubuntu option in order to check that your hardware (screen, keyboard, internet...) is correctly recognized by Ubuntu.
- Backup your File and documents on an external disk or DVDs
- When you are ready to install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr on your hard drive, click the Install Ubuntu button. The installation wizard will appear:
- Select your language and click Continue. The Preparing to install Ubuntu window appears.
- After your finish select the desired options. Then Click Continue. And The Installation type window appears.
- Several choices are available:
- If you want to install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr over your entire hard drive, select Erase disk and install Ubuntu, then select the hard drive that you want to install Ubuntu. Warning: this will erase all data and systems that are currently on the disk.

- Select the correct keyboard layout and Click Continue.
- When the installation finishes, the Installation complete window appears.
- Ubuntu is now installed. Click Restart now to restart your PC.
